Amit Shah Bihar Visit: Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Bihar, what is the plan regarding India-Nepal border, know the schedule

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is going on a three-day visit to Bihar from 25th February. During this time, his main focus will be on the security arrangements of Seemanchal region and India-Nepal border. According to sources, Amit Shah will visit the border districts of Bihar which are adjacent to Nepal. Bihar shares more than 730 km long open border with Nepal. In such a situation, there is a possibility of a detailed review meeting on issues like border security, infiltration and smuggling.

The Home Minister will hold a meeting with senior officials of IB (Intelligence Bureau) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). A separate review meeting is also proposed with the DM and SP of the districts of Seemanchal. According to sources, Shah will visit the selected Vibrant Village villages adjacent to the Nepal border and review the development works. The progress of central government schemes and the status of infrastructure in these villages will be discussed.

SSB Camp and Transit Camp Program

The 52nd battalion of SSB deployed on the Indo-Nepal border in Araria is expected to reach Leti Camp. The Home Minister can also formally inaugurate the transit camp prepared by SSB near Katihar Railway Junction. The issue of infiltration can also be discussed in detail in the meeting with officials. Sources say that some major decision can also be taken in this regard. Apart from this, important decisions are also possible regarding the security of ‘Chicken Neck Corridor’. This narrow corridor connects the north-eastern states of India to the mainland and its security is the priority of the Central Government.

Administration in alert mode

In view of the possible visit of the Home Minister, the administration in the border districts is in alert mode. Security arrangements are being reviewed. Police and intelligence agencies are active. Officials have been instructed to keep updated reports of development plans ready. Amit Shah’s program can be formally announced soon.
