Before IPL 2026, Lucknow Super Giants has released its new logo. Lord Shri Ganesh himself has come with the LSG team. Yes, Lucknow Super Giants has tried to introduce Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh by bringing together three powerful symbols. In the old logo of Lucknow team, there used to be bat and ball in between the wings.
Lucknow Super Giants’ new logo features three symbols, which encapsulate the culture of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh. There are wings on the left and right sides, which symbolize Garuda, in the middle there is a crown which symbolizes kingship and power and in the middle there are elephants, which represent the presence of Lord Shri Ganesha himself with the LSG team.
RPSG Group Vice Chairman Shashwat Goenka said that this new logo is related to the sentiments of the entire LSG team. He described this new logo as the identity of the fans of Lucknow Super Giants team, who have been supporting this team since the first day. He said that Garuda will inspire the team to reach new heights, the crown in the middle is a symbol of the team’s determination and pride, while the elephant is a symbol of the strength of the region.
Now this new logo will be the new identity of the LSG team, from social media accounts to team jerseys and merchandise. Lord Shri Ganesha is called the remover of obstacles, hence wherever he sits, that place is considered very auspicious.
Lucknow team’s performance in IPL so far
Lucknow Super Giants team had entered IPL in the 2022 season. Under the captaincy of KL Rahul, this team reached the playoffs in IPL 2022, but lost to RCB in the eliminator. Next season, Lucknow team again reached the playoffs, but this time too it was eliminated in the eliminator itself, this time it was eliminated by Mumbai Indians.
Lucknow Super Giants’ performance in IPL 2024 was disappointing, as the team finished seventh in the points table. In 2025, the team got a new captain in the form of Rishabh Pant, but he could not change the fortunes of the team. Even in 2025, LSG had to be content with seventh place.
