Bollywood Hungama quoted the source and wrote – Lahore 1947 is based on the famous play Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya. The film is based on a city in Pakistan and the story is set during the Independence period. So initially the title Lahore 1947 seemed good. But now the makers feel that there could be some other good title according to the story.
He further wrote, ‘The makers are considering many new titles accordingly. Another round of meeting is to be held with stakeholders. If everyone remains on the same page, the title of the film will change.
There are reports that this film may be released on 13 August 2026. The film will benefit from the Independence Day holiday.
If we look at Sunny Deol’s work front, his film Border 2 is still running in theatres. The film has earned more than Rs 300 crore. This film was directed by Anurag Singh. There were actors like Ahan Shetty, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh in the film.
