Protests are going on in Siliguri, West Bengal. On Thursday, people took to the streets to protest against the beating of a tribal woman. To handle the situation, the police had to use water cannon and smog guns.
Tribal people took out a protest march towards North Bengal Secretariat. To stop this, the police had put up barricades. Police have used water cannons and smoke guns to disperse the protesters. Tear gas shells were fired on the protesting people and lathi charge was done.

The tribals were taking out a protest march towards North-Kanya Branch Secretariat. He accused the tribals of atrocities and disturbing incidents. Heavy police force was deployed in advance to handle the protesters.
Demonstration of tribal society regarding beating of tribal woman
The case is related to a tribal woman. A pregnant tribal woman was brutally attacked in Phansidewa. During this time her child died. People of tribal community were taking out a march regarding this. The police force already deployed at the spot stopped the march during this period.
Clashes were also seen between the protesters and the police. The protesters had broken the barricade before the police. After this, the police resorted to lathicharge to control the situation and stop the protesters.
The protesters say that everyone was lathicharged. Today’s issue is for the police and government. Tribal woman has been beaten. Hit his child. There is no law here.
During the demonstration, people of tribal community were seen with saffron flag and tricolor. Assembly elections are to be held in Bengal this year. In such a situation, a political war is going on in the state. However, this demonstration is being done regarding the atrocities being committed on the tribals. The police have also arrested some protesters during this period.
