‘Custody necessary to investigate funding conspiracy’

The police told the court that police custody of the accused is necessary to investigate the conspiracy, funding and role of other people in the case. Delhi Police told the court that it is necessary to interrogate all the accused face to face in the case, for which police custody is required. Delhi Police said that these people were continuously hiding from the police and they have no fear of the law.

The defense side gave this argument

The defense lawyer said, no hate speech was given. Claimed that people associated with the youth wing of the opposition party are being politically targeted. According to the lawyer of Youth Congress, whatever demonstration took place is in front of everyone. Are these people being targeted? 11 people have already been arrested. All the footage is there, there are videos, what is their crime? Were just demonstrating. If you see the FIR, it is similar to the JNU case… only piecemeal FIR is being implemented here, those youth were protesting against the paper leak. They are making a mockery of legal principles. The police were opposed by the accused.
