Press TV reported that Khamenei is no more. 40 days of national mourning has also been announced after his death. There is a situation of tension in the Middle East. Meanwhile, on Sunday (1 March 2026), Khamenei along with his daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter died.

These agencies said that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has been leading Iran since 1989, is alive. These reports made it clear that even within Iran, different claims are being made regarding the news. Meanwhile, a senior Israeli official told the international news agency Reuters that Khamenei’s body has been recovered after the attack. However, this claim has not been independently confirmed yet. No official international organization or independent source has confirmed this news.

US President Donald Trump’s big claim
US President Donald Trump, while posting on his social media platform Truth Social, claimed that 86-year-old Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been killed in a military operation. Trump wrote in his post that Khamenei was one of the worst people in history. He called his death justice. Along with this, Trump also said that the bombing will continue without stopping for the whole week or until peace is established in the Middle East and the world. After this statement by Trump, news started spreading rapidly in the international media and speculations about the situation increased.
