Since the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, the situation in Pakistan is going out of control and violent demonstrations are taking place against America at many places. The violent protest started today (March 1) at 10 am when more than 100 people from the Shia community entered the American Consulate in Karachi and first they hoisted the flag of Iran and the terrorist organization Hezbollah at the gate of the Consulate and then created a ruckus inside the Consulate for half an hour, causing vandalism and arson.
Firing on protesters, 14 killed
The situation was so out of control that Karachi Police had to open fire on the protesters. Due to which 14 protesters also died. Such a big attack on the American Consulate is also a big question on the security system of Pakistan because the place where the protesters had gathered was 3 kilometers away from the Consulate. Then the protesters moved forward towards the Consulate. During this time there was not even a single policeman to stop them on the way.
Traffic police building set on fire
More than 25 injured officers have been admitted to the Trauma Center of Jinnah Hospital during the firing. After the violence inside the Consulate, the protesters reached the nearby Pakistani traffic building and set the traffic police building on fire there too.
Protest in Gilgit Baltistan
Apart from Karachi, the second biggest center of violent protests was Pakistan-occupied Gilgit Baltistan. While in Skardu city, protesters set fire to the office of UNMOGIP, which tracks the movements of the United Nations along the LoC, and the Army Public School and SP office also came under fire. In the pictures and video available with ABP News, the UN office was seen burning in flames.
5 protesters killed in army firing
Similarly, in Jotiyal of Pakistani occupied Gilgit Baltistan, the army opened fire on the protesters. In which 5 protesters were killed. At present, there is a curfew in Skardu city and there is an order to shoot if anyone comes out. In Lahore also, people reached outside the American Consulate to protest against America, although the police already present there did not allow the protesters to enter the Consulate, but slogans of death to America were raised there too. Yesterday (2 March) again people of Shia community in Islamabad, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar of Pakistan have called for protests against America.
