India will buy 5 new S-400 Sudarshan air defense missile systems from Russia. India is taking steps towards purchasing five more squadrons of these systems. The security system of S-400 proved its capabilities in Operation Sindoor and foiled the nefarious intentions of Pakistan.
After the success of Operation Sindoor, India has planned to purchase these systems. India had succeeded in shooting down a Pakistani spy plane with the S-400 missile. With this, India had also set the record for the longest air strike capability.
In this entire matter, the Defense Ministry is working on a plan to purchase these squadrons. This proposal has been given by the Air Force. The Defense Ministry is taking further action on its approval. According to Defense Ministry officials, these systems will be deployed on both the eastern and western fronts.
The power of S-400 was seen in Operation Sindoor
Earlier, Indian air defense systems had completely foiled Pakistan’s nefarious intentions during Operation Sindoor. It not only shot down Pakistan’s planes. Along with this, cruise and ballistic missiles were also shot down. The defense system had destroyed 5-6 Pakistani fighter and spy planes within 300 km of Pakistan.
The deal to purchase the defense system was signed in 2018
Apart from this, information has been given by the Air Force that India is planning to buy missiles to strengthen air defense capabilities. Talks are going on with Russia regarding this. Here, in the year 2018, India had signed a deal to buy five squadrons of S-400 air defense system.
China’s air defense system proved unsuccessful in many countries
Earlier, during Operation Sindoor, China’s HQ-9 air defense system deployed in Pakistan had failed in front of Indian missiles and aircraft. Apart from this, during the American action in Venezuela and during the Israeli Air Force action in Iran also, this air defense system of Chinese origin proved to be unsuccessful.
