Poor performance in T20 World Cup, Babar Azam out of Pakistan team; Didn’t get a chance against Bangladesh

Babar Azam, who performed poorly in the T20 World Cup 2026, has been dropped from the Pakistan team. Babar, who scored only 91 runs in 6 matches of the tournament, has not got a place in the team for the next ODI series against Bangladesh. Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday (04 March) announced a 15-member squad for the Bangladesh ODI series.

Shaheen Afridi becomes captain

Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been made the captain for this series. However, it is worth noting that Shaheen also did not perform anything special in the T20 World Cup. He took 8 wickets in 5 innings of 5 matches, in which his best is 4/30. Although his economy was very poor at 10.52.

The series will start from March 11

The three-match ODI series will be played between March 11 and 15. All three matches will be played at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. The first match will be held on March 11. Then the second ODI will be held on March 13 and the third and last 50 over match will be held on March 15.
