In a 2016 conversation with journalist Sridhar Pillai for IndiaGlitz, the actor opened up about marriage and why he didn’t rush into it. During the interview, Trisha told that she does not have any specific timeline for marriage. She said that the decision would completely depend on the person she meets and whether she really feels that she can spend the rest of her life with that person. The actor further said that she strongly believes in commitment and does not consider divorce as something that she would want in her life.
In the video, Trisha says, “I want to feel whether this is the person I can live with for the rest of my life because I don’t believe in divorce. I don’t want to get divorced after marriage and I am the kind of person who will do that.”
Trisha also says that she has seen many couples staying in marriage for reasons that do not necessarily make them happy. According to him, some people live together because of family expectations, children or social pressure. Seeing such situations around her, she realized that she would like to avoid getting into relationships for the wrong reasons.
Trisha wants to wait for the right partner
The actor further said that she would prefer to wait patiently for the right partner rather than rushing into marriage. Besides, he also said that he is comfortable with the fact that marriage may never happen. To them, this possibility doesn’t seem bad, it would just mean that life went on differently.
