There was a dispute over walking a pet dog in Brigade Utopia Apartment located in Varthur area of Bengaluru, which soon turned into a fight. In this incident, both the parties have lodged a complaint with the police accusing each other of attacking. According to the information, resident Tarun Arora had brought his pet dog out for a walk. A separate designated area for walking and exercise has been created for senior citizens in the apartment complex. It is alleged that Tarun’s dog started urinating near the same area, on which the senior citizens present there questioned him as to why he brought the dog to that place.
Tarun Arora alleges that about 7–8 senior citizens attacked him, kicked him, punched him and assaulted him. A woman present during the incident intervened, separated the people and prevented the situation from worsening. After this, Tarun Arora lodged a complaint at Varthur police station alleging that the senior citizens assaulted him. However, the matter took a new turn when a woman from the same group filed a counter-complaint against Tarun Arora. The woman alleges that when she questioned the dog urinating there, Tarun attacked her and threatened her.

The woman also alleged that Tarun threatened her and said that he will see you and you will not be released. He also said that his children live abroad. According to the woman, after this incident they are scared about their safety and have sought protection from the police. In the CCTV footage, senior citizens can be seen exercising inside the apartment complex, while Tarun is seen passing by with his dog. Meanwhile, there is an argument between the two parties and an elderly man allegedly snatches Tarun’s mobile phone from his hand and throws it away, after which the matter reaches a scuffle. At present the police is investigating the matter on the basis of complaints from both the parties.
