Trap of adulterators in Hyderabad, fake ginger-garlic paste factory busted in Lalapet

Black marketing is at its peak in Telangana, and adulteration is spreading even in everyday food items. Another shocking case has come to light in Hyderabad where the police busted an illegal unit manufacturing adulterated ginger-garlic paste. Not only this, this week a big racket of fake ghee was also busted in the city, in which about three thousand kilograms of adulterated dairy products were recovered whose value was said to be more than eighteen lakh rupees.

Police recovered huge quantity of goods and adulterated chemicals

Now in the latest action, a joint team of City Commissioner Task Force (Secunderabad Zone) and Lallaguda Police Station busted an illegal factory for making adulterated ginger-garlic paste running in Lalapet area. The police raided and recovered a huge quantity of finished goods and chemicals used in adulteration from there.

Police made arrest in raid action

According to the police, four accused were arrested during this operation, while one thousand nine hundred and fifteen kilograms of ginger-garlic paste was seized from the spot. Apart from this, the police also recovered a large quantity of acetic acid, xanthan gum and fake labels, which were being used to make the product look like the original brand.

Investigation has revealed that the accused were manufacturing this paste in extremely unhygienic conditions. Low quality raw material was prepared by mixing chemicals and then supplied to various grocery stores in the city with fake labels. Police say that the product prepared in this way could have been directly dangerous for people’s health.

The gang was engaged in illegal business

According to task force officials, this gang was engaged in this illegal business for a long time and this adulterated paste was being supplied to many small shopkeepers of the city. Police suspect that there may be more people associated with this network, who are being searched.

This whole matter has once again raised the question as to how deeply this business of adulteration in food items has spread in the city. Experts say that such products are directly playing with the health of the general public.

At present, the police have registered a case against the accused and the seized items have been sent for investigation. Officials say that in further investigation, efforts will be made to trace the entire network of this gang.
