‘Stand with women’ campaign started, CM Revanth Reddy made this appeal to the youth

Telangana Chief Minister A. Taking an important initiative for the safety and empowerment of women, Revanth Reddy started the Stand With Her campaign. On this occasion, he said that the aim of the state government is to make Telangana the safest state for women in the country. He appealed to the youth to come forward for the safety and respect of women and become agents of positive change in the society.

The Chief Minister said that this campaign has been started to spread the message of men standing with women and protecting their rights to the society. He stressed that every youth of the state should become a kind of inspirational representative for the safety of women and strengthen the feeling of respect and equality in the society.

Women should not be limited to home and kitchen: Revanth Reddy

In his address, the Chief Minister said that women should not be limited only to home and kitchen. He said that the government wants women to progress in education, business, administration, science and every other field and give a new direction to the society with their talent. He said that the society will have to stand together against gender discrimination and give equal rights to women.

Increasing cyber crime against women is a matter of serious concern

The Chief Minister also expressed serious concern over the increasing cyber crimes against women in recent times. He said that with the increasing use of social media, cyber crimes are also increasing, which has become a new challenge for the safety of women. He said that only law and police system is not enough, but every person of the society has to consider the safety of women as their responsibility.

Revanth Reddy said that the state government is running many schemes to empower women. Initiative has been taken to give houses in the name of women under Ration Card and Indiramma Housing Scheme. Financial assistance and loans have been provided to self-help groups, while shop premises have also been allotted to women in Shilparamam, Hyderabad.

Free travel facility for women

The Chief Minister said that to make women economically stronger, they have been given the facility of free travel in public transport buses. Apart from this, women groups are being encouraged to own one thousand buses and they are also being given opportunities to set up petrol pumps.

He also said that to honor the courage and struggle of women, the women’s university has been named after Veerangana Chakali Ilamma. In the end, the Chief Minister said that when every person of the society stands for the respect and safety of women, then only it will be possible to build a safe and equality based society.
