Both the companies have introduced phones which come with almost the same processor but their thinking is completely different in terms of user experience.
While Motorola has emphasized on big battery and strong build quality in Edge 70 Fusion, Nothing has made the unique design and camera system special in Phone 4a. Let us know who is ahead in which respect between these two smartphones.
Display and strength
Both smartphones have a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i has been used to protect the screen. However, in terms of refresh rate, Motorola Edge 70 Fusion seems to be slightly ahead because it has a refresh rate of 144Hz whereas Nothing Phone 4a has a refresh rate of 120Hz. Talking about brightness, Motorola’s phone gives a peak brightness of up to 5200 nits whereas Nothing’s phone reaches 4500 nits.
Talking about durability, Edge 70 Fusion has also been given MIL-STD-810H military grade certification along with IP68 and IP69 ratings. Whereas Nothing Phone 4a has got IP64 rating.

In terms of performance, both the smartphones are almost similar because they are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor built on 4nm technology. Both have the option of maximum 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
Although there is a slight difference in RAM technology. Motorola Edge 70 Fusion has fast LPDDR5x RAM while Nothing Phone 4a has LPDDR4x RAM. The storage in both is UFS 3.1 only.
software
In terms of software, both smartphones come with Android 16. Motorola’s phone comes with Hello UI which gives almost stock Android like experience. The company promises to provide 3 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates.
Nothing OS 4.1 is available in Nothing Phone 4a which gives more customization options. The company talks about providing 3 years of Android updates and 6 years of security updates in this phone.
Battery and Charging
In terms of battery, Motorola Edge 70 Fusion looks quite powerful. It has a large 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery which supports 68W fast charging. On the other hand, Nothing Phone 4a has a 5400mAh battery and it supports 50W fast charging.
Another important thing is that a charger is not provided in the box of Nothing Phone 4a. That means the user will have to buy a charger separately, the cost of which can range from Rs 1000 to Rs 2000.

Talking about camera setup, Motorola Edge 70 Fusion has a dual rear camera. It has a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide camera.
Nothing Phone 4a appears to be a little ahead in terms of camera as it has a triple camera setup. It has a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens and 50MP periscope telephoto camera which supports 3.5x optical zoom. For selfies, both smartphones have a 32MP front camera and both support 4K 30fps video recording.
Design and connectivity
Despite having such a big battery, Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is quite thin and light. Its thickness is 7.99mm and weight is 193 grams. Whereas Nothing Phone 4a is a bit thick and heavy. Its thickness is 8.55mm and weight is about 204.5 grams.
In terms of design, Motorola comes with its fabric-style finish, which is similar to other phones of the company. Whereas the transparent glass design of Nothing Phone 4a makes it different. It also has a Glyph Bar which works as a light indicator for notifications, calls and music.

The company has introduced Motorola Edge 70 Fusion in three different variants. Its model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage comes for Rs 26,999. Whereas the price of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage has been kept at Rs 29,999, while the top variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is available for Rs 32,999. After launch offers, its starting price reaches around Rs 24,999.
On the other hand, the starting price of Nothing Phone 4a is Rs 31,999 in which 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is available. Whereas its most expensive model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage goes up to Rs 37,999.
Which phone is more beneficial to buy?
If your budget is around Rs 30,000 and you want longer battery life, stronger body and faster display, then Motorola Edge 70 Fusion can prove to be a better option.
At the same time, if you like unique design, want Glyph lighting feature and want to take advantage of telephoto lens in the camera, then Nothing Phone 4a can be the right option for you.
