Congress MP and Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi said, ‘What is happening in West Asia is going to cause huge economic loss to the Indian economy.’ Targeting the government over the decline in the Indian stock market, he said, ‘You have seen how the stock market is declining.’ Rahul Gandhi also slammed the government regarding the trade deal signed between India and the US last month and said, ‘The country is going to suffer a huge blow.’
Demand for discussion in the House
While talking to news agency IANS, Rahul Gandhi demanded discussion on these issues in Parliament. He said, ‘We have only one demand that all these issues should be discussed in the House but the government does not want to do so. He said, isn’t the situation in West Asia an important issue? Fuel prices, impact on the economy are issues related to the public, which we want to discuss, but they do not want to discuss it because it will bring out other things. In a way, this is a fight to change thinking.

Lok Sabha proceedings adjourned
The opposition demonstrated strongly demanding a discussion in Parliament on the situation in West Asia. Due to which the Lok Sabha proceedings on Monday were adjourned. Earlier, India Bloc MPs protested at the Makar Gate of Parliament, raising slogans against the central government over the West Asia conflict. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge were also among the MPs who protested outside Parliament.
