According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature in many areas of North India may remain above normal in the coming days, while there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh may remain 5 to 7 degrees Celsius above normal in the next two days. The temperature in the plains of North-West India, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh is expected to be 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of light to heavy rain in many states including Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. During this period, strong winds can also blow at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.
How is the weather going to be in the hilly areas?
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be isolated rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan regions till March 16. There is a possibility of thunderstorms, strong winds and hailstorm in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh between March 11 and 12. Apart from this, there may also be heavy rain at some places in Jammu and Kashmir on March 11. IMD has also indicated that a new westerly disturbance may become active in north-west India from March 14, due to which changes in weather may be seen in many areas.
Today’s weather in Delhi
With the increase in temperature in Delhi-NCR, the effect of heat is being felt. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light clouds in the capital for the next two days and the maximum temperature can reach around 34 degrees Celsius. In the morning, wind can blow from the west-northwest direction at a speed of about 5 kilometers per hour, while at night its speed can increase to about 10 kilometers per hour.
Weather condition in Uttar Pradesh
The weather has suddenly taken a turn in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain in Meerut, Shamli and Bulandshahr of Western Uttar Pradesh between March 15 and 16.
Temperature rises in Rajasthan
In many districts of Rajasthan the temperature has reached 38 to 41 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in Western Rajasthan on March 14, while there may be sporadic rain in some areas of Eastern Rajasthan on March 14 and 15.
Chance of rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh
At present the weather in Himachal Pradesh remains pleasant. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain and snowfall in many parts of the state between March 11 and 16. During this period, there is also a possibility of thunderstorm, strong winds and hailstorm at some places.
