Meanwhile, Samsung is preparing to defeat everyone in this competition. Recently leaked internal documents have revealed that the company is testing an 18,000mAh battery, but its results have not been as per expectations.
Samsung is testing silicon carbon battery
According to reports, Samsung is testing two large battery packs of 12,000 mAh and 18,000 mAh. Both are silicon carbon battery packs. A few days ago, it was reported that Samsung, which was keeping distance from silicon carbon technology till now, has now changed its decision. There are speculations that this battery can be given in the company’s Galaxy S series in the coming years. The advantage of silicon battery is that it can store more energy in less space, due to which the phone can be given more battery capacity without making it bigger.
Test results were not good
Samsung’s results with both new batteries have not been good. The company is also struggling with the size of the 12,000mAh battery pack and swelling has also been seen in it. On the other hand, heat was observed in the 18,000 mAh battery and its charging management software is also not completely ready yet. Let us tell you that Samsung has already tested a 20,000 mAh prototype, but it also failed in testing. It was tested with a target of 1,500 charging cycles, but it managed only 960 charging cycles.
