‘When our army was in front of China, you…’, Amit Shah’s big allegation in Parliament without taking the name of Rahul Gandhi

The no-confidence motion brought by the opposition against Speaker Om Birla in the Lok Sabha was rejected by voice vote. During this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah responded to the allegations of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi regarding China. Without taking the name of Rahul Gandhi, the Home Minister said that at the time of Doklam, when our and China’s armies were face to face, the opposition leaders were holding a secret meeting in the Chinese Embassy. He said that their Defense Minister said in the country’s Parliament that if a road is built on the border, the enemy will come inside.

He said, ‘I want to tell the Congress Party that in the 17th Lok Sabha, the Congress Party was given 157 hours and 55 minutes, while it had 52 members. In comparison, BJP was given 349 hours and 8 minutes, while our member number was 303.

He said, ‘The Congress party has spoken for 71 hours till yesterday in the 18th Lok Sabha, even though they have 99 members, while the Bharatiya Janata Party has spoken for 122 hours, even though we have 239 members. The Union Home Minister said, ‘When the present Speaker was appointed, the leaders of both the parties worked together to seat him. This means that both the party and the opposition have to provide a kind of free environment to the Speaker to discharge his responsibilities and also support him to discharge his responsibilities. Any disagreement can be expressed on the decision of the Speaker, but under the rules of the Lok Sabha, the Speaker’s decisions are considered final. On the contrary, the opposition raised a question mark on the integrity of the Speaker.
