‘…then we will set fire to all oil and gas reserves’, Iran warns America and Israel regarding attacks

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that it will target energy infrastructure in the Middle East if Iran’s oil and gas plants are attacked during US and Israeli attacks.

In a statement carried by Iranian state media, a spokesman for the military’s Khatam al-Anbiya central headquarters said that even a limited attack on Iran’s energy plants or ports would trigger serious retaliation. The spokesman said, “We warn the aggressor government and all its allies that even the slightest attack on the energy infrastructure and ports of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be met with a very strong response from our side. Iran’s retaliation will lead to destruction.”

Open threat to America and Israel
The statement said, “In the event of such aggression, all the oil and gas infrastructure in the region, including the assets of the United States and its Western allies, will be burned and destroyed. This warning comes at a time when tensions between Iran, America and Israel are continuously increasing and this conflict is leading to large-scale attacks.

According to US Central Command, US forces have attacked more than 5,500 targets inside Iran since the war began, including attacks on more than 60 ships. Senior Iranian officials have also issued additional warnings about the possible consequences of escalating tensions.

What did Ali Larijani say?
Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, said that an attack on Iran’s power infrastructure could pose a major threat to the entire region. “If they do so, the entire area will be plunged into darkness in less than half an hour, and the darkness will give American soldiers ample opportunity to flee for their lives,” Larijani said in a post on Twitter on Thursday.
