Telangana CM: ’70 crores will be spent on Gandhi statue, the claim of Rs 5000 crores is false’, big statement of Telangana CM Revanth Reddy

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed strong objection to the misleading news being spread regarding the construction of Gandhi statue. He clarified that only Rs 70 crore is being spent on this proposed statue, whereas it is being falsely propagated by the opposition parties and some leaders that an amount of Rs 5,000 crore will be spent on this project. The Chief Minister described these claims as completely baseless and politically motivated.

CM Revanth Reddy raised an important question in his statement. He said that when Rs 220 crore was spent on the construction of the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, no one had protested. In such a situation, creating an uproar over the Gandhi statue is an example of double standards. He also said that should we bury the history and heritage of Hyderabad just to fulfill political interests? According to him, it is the responsibility of the government to respect history and revive it before the public.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy supported HYDRAA

The Chief Minister also strongly advocated for Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Authority (HYDRAA). He told that when HYDRAA was established, it was also criticized a lot and many questions were raised about it. But when this organization freed the ponds and reservoirs of Hyderabad from encroachment and dedicated them to the public, the common people greatly appreciated this step. Today the public’s attitude towards HYDRA has completely changed and it enjoys widespread public support.

Mention of Musi River Revival Project

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also mentioned the Musi River Rejuvenation Project. He said that those who are opposing this project do not need to panic. The government will provide container houses near the project site to all such opponents, which will have all the necessary facilities. This statement of the Chief Minister clearly indicates that the government is determined to take the Musi River Project forward at any cost and is not going to be deterred by the protests.
