The general conference of All India Personal Law Board was held at Bada Imambara, Lucknow. 2 thousand people from Nepal, Bangladesh and across the country participated in it. During this, Maulana Agha Syed Abbas Rizvi gave a controversial statement. Maulana, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, said in Lucknow that our soldiers are intimidated in the name of Bharat Mata ki Jai and Vande Mataram. Also said that those people sing Vande Mataram, but they themselves do not know its meaning.
Regarding Vande Mataram, he said that it means ‘O Mother, I salute you’. I always salute. Hey, you are people living in free Khija. I am a resident of a place where we are facing the oppression of Pakistan. I have written a book, Aagosh e Hind. Please write such a book. He also expressed his views regarding the representation of Shia Muslims. During this, he also claimed to have talked to Rajnath Singh regarding this.

During this, the upliftment of Shia community was discussed in the convention. 24 resolutions were passed in the session. During this, important issues of Shia Muslims were discussed. The implementation of Common Civil Code in the country was discussed in this convention.
The board demanded reconstruction of the cemetery.
During this, the Board demanded the reconstruction of Jannat Ul Baqi cemetery from the Government of India. Apart from these, like the Sachar Commission, a demand was also made to form a separate commission to know the condition of Shia Muslims. Besides, a demand was made for reservation in jobs for Shia Muslims on the basis of economic backwardness. Also, the lack of representation of 8 crore Shia Muslims in the Parliament and Legislative Assemblies of the country was considered.
Resolutions ranging from social reform to terrorism passed
Apart from these, the board also demanded social reforms, especially reforms in unnecessary expenditure on weddings and other occasions. A resolution to condemn and stop the spread of terrorism in the country and the entire world was also passed by the Board. A proposal to improve and progress the religious and popular education of the Shia community was also passed. Legal measures to stop hate speeches and mob lynching were discussed. Corruption spread in Waqf boards and sale of Waqf properties and Waqf Amendment Act were discussed. Apart from these, the demand for any kind of ban on Hijab was considered. Besides, the status of political, social, economic and educational rights of the society was also considered.
