A rehabilitation hospital was also targeted in the air strikes on Kabul by Pakistan. According to Afghanistan, at least 400 people died and more than 250 were injured. Cricketer Allah Ghazanfar strongly condemned this attack and gave an emotional message to the international community. Describing India as a close friend of Afghanistan, he appealed to come together.
The rehabilitation hospital in Kabul where the attack took place provided treatment for drug addiction. Afghanistan’s deputy government spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat said that the drug rehabilitation hospital was attacked and there was major damage. However, Pakistan denied these allegations and said that the airstrike was carried out only where there were stores of ammunition and technical equipment. Afghan player Ghazanfar said that this hospital helps many people and these attacks can be very devastating for the common people.
Speaking to a media channel, Allah Ghazanfar said, “Those people did not have money for treatment, those places were also targeted. They (Pakistan) killed them. This is not acceptable to the people of Afghanistan.” Ghazanfar raised questions on the motive of these attacks and condemned them. He said, “What is Pakistan trying to prove by this? I don’t know. They are attacking common people. Afghanistan cannot accept this.”
India is our close friend
Ghazanfar said, “Everyone knows the history of Afghanistan. If history repeats itself, it will not be good for Pakistan.” Ghazanfar will play for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026. He appealed to the international community to come together and called India a friend of Afghanistan. He said that there is a need to work together. Because this fight is not good for any party involved.
He said, “India is our close friend. We want to engage with them and discuss these issues, so that these things do not happen. We have the same appeal to other countries as well, this is not good for the people.”
