Telangana: Samosas were being made from rotten eggs and adulterated oil, police raided

Telangana News: A terrible truth hidden behind samosas, the favorite snack of the people of Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, has come to light. Samosas, which appear crunchy on the outside and delicious on the inside, are actually being made from rotten ingredients, this shocking truth has been revealed by the Kulsumpura police. Playing with people’s lives, the police caught those making samosas with adulterated ingredients in an unhygienic environment.

Kulsumpura Inspector Ramulu SI Narasimha along with his team raided a shed located on the banks of Musi river on Jiyaguda bypass road. A person named Abdul Rashid, 73, of Golconda is running this centre. For some time, samosas are being made here without any government permission in violation of food safety rules. The manager is running this illegal center with five or six workers only for the purpose of earning profit.

Samosas made from rotten food

The scenes that emerged during the police investigation shocked even the officers. All the materials used in this center are substandard and unhealthy. Rotten eggs are being used in the filling mixture for samosas. Stale and repeatedly used adulterated cooking oil is being used here. Police have confirmed that the potatoes and other vegetables used in making samosas are also rotten. People’s health is being endangered by using stale and insect-laden flour.

Flour, adulterated oil and rotten eggs seized

The adulterated samosas made in this center are not limited to just one area. A large quantity of goods are being supplied from here to many hotels, bakeries and street vendors around Jiyaguda. Although consumers are attracted by the taste, no one is aware of the illegal game going on inside.

Generally, if someone wants to run a food manufacturing facility, he will have to obtain a license from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. But this shed run by Abdul Rashid does not have any permission. They knead dough on the floor in a completely unhygienic environment and do business without any precautions.

In the raid conducted on Friday evening, the police seized a large quantity of flour, adulterated oil and rotten eggs. Manager Abdul Rashid has been detained. Who else is involved in this racket and where the supplies are being made are being investigated.
