The increasing military tension between Iran and America has put the lives of Indian sailors at sea at risk. Dozens of Indian sailors stranded at Khorramshahr Port of Iran are currently forced to live under the shadow of extreme fear. The continuous explosions and missile attacks around the port have given sleepless nights to these sailors. Amidst these dreadful conditions of war, ABP News has talked directly to all these stranded sailors. During the conversation, the sailors shared their helplessness and fear of death.
Shells falling at a distance of just 500 meters: Sailor Mohil Arhawal
While talking to ABP News, sailor Mohit Arhwal said that the situation is very scary. He told that there are continuous explosions just 500 to 600 meters away from where his ship is parked. There is panic among the sailors that if these missiles fall on their ship, what will happen to them?
He said that even at night, hearing the scary sound of explosions, they all do not sleep, people leave the ship and run to the port. He said that he is always worried about what would happen if there is an explosion on his ship.

At the same time, Ankit Yadav, stranded on the other ship, expressed his helplessness and said that his agents are citing that the situation is normal. He said, ‘The agent says that when the situation becomes a little better, then we will be evacuated from here, but the question is that if a major accident happens before the situation becomes normal, then who will take responsibility for it?’ Ankit also revealed that he is not even getting his salary on time.
During this time, another sailor Manoj told that the problems of the Indians stranded there are not showing any signs of decreasing. He said, ‘Last night there was heavy bombardment here for about three hours. Missiles are coming daily. The sailors who have internet and recharge are somehow able to talk at home, but the rest are completely cut off from their families.
Union wrote letter to Foreign Ministry
Keeping in view the safety of sailors, Forward Seamen Union of India (FSUI) has now demanded intervention from the Government of India. Union General Secretary Manoj Yadav met Foreign Minister S. Wrote a letter to Jaishankar informing him that about 50 ships are parked at Khurramshahr Port, in which a large number of Indian crew are present.
According to the list submitted to the Ministry of External Affairs, the ships berthed at Khorramshahr Port with Indian crew members on board include: CARBON, INFINITY, RADIN, MOTAF 3, SUNNY, ANOOSH 1, YASIN, RANA 110, PAYAM 2 and BAZOO 1.
What did the General Secretary of FSUI say about the sailors?
FSUI General Secretary Manoj Yadav said that generally the government has information about those recruited through RPSL, but there are many sailors who go to work from Dubai or elsewhere, their records are not available with the government.
