Iran US Conflict: Tension between Iran and America is continuously increasing. US President Donald Trump gave Iran an ultimatum to open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, but Tehran rejected this warning outright. Iran has clearly said that it is not going to bow down to any pressure and will respond to such threats.
This warning from America has come at a time when America and Israel are increasing pressure on Iran. This conflict started after joint attacks in late February. Israeli officials have indicated that they are preparing to attack Iran’s energy sites, but are awaiting Washington’s approval for this.
increasing danger amid war
US and Iranian forces are searching for a missing American crew member after two American fighter planes were downed. This situation shows that the danger in the war is continuously increasing, even if America is claiming air superiority.
Strait of Hormuz becomes a cause for concern
Iran has largely closed the Strait of Hormuz, which is an important route for oil supply to the world. Due to this, concerns about global energy supply and economy have increased. Meanwhile, the conflict has spread further. There are reports of drone and missile attacks between Iran, Israel and their allied groups.
‘Decide within 48 hours’
Donald Trump said on social media that Iran should either make an agreement or open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours. He warned, “Time is running out, havoc will befall them in 48 hours.” However, Trump’s statements have been constantly changing. Sometimes he talks about the possibility of talks, and sometimes he threatens military action. Earlier he had stopped the attack on Iran’s energy sites, saying that talks were continuing.
‘Nervous and stupid statement’
Iran strongly rejected Trump’s ultimatum. A senior commander at the Khatm al-Anbiya headquarters described Trump’s statement as “helpless, nervous, unbalanced and stupid.” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Tehran was ready in principle to negotiate through mediation, but any agreement would require ending the “unlawful war”.
Iran has warned that if the attacks continue, the conflict could spread to the entire region. It has also expressed concern about attacks near nuclear sites, particularly a possible radiation leak near Bushehr. Iran has claimed that it has deployed new air defense systems and shot down American planes. Besides, it is continuing missile and drone attacks on Israel and other targets.
