West Asian Tensions: More than a month has passed since the war between America, Israel and Iran in the Middle East started, but till now neither any agreement has been reached on opening the Strait of Hormuz nor the talks between the two sides on ending the war have been successful. Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey are definitely mediating together to stop the war between America and Iran, but till now no clear policy seems to be being made on this.
Iran rejected the peace proposal sent by Pakistan
Iran has completely rejected the 15-point peace proposal sent by Islamabad before the talks to be hosted by Pakistan. An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that Iran has rejected the peace proposal sent through an intermediary. We will not end this war on America’s terms, any negotiations will be done keeping our national interests in mind.
President Trump made derogatory remarks against Iran
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has given Iran an ultimatum of 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz. He said on the Truth social platform that if Iran does not do anything to open the Strait of Hormuz by 8 pm on Tuesday (April 7, 2026) (Wednesday morning Indian time), then they will have neither any power plant left nor any bridge that will be safe.
However, Trump’s ultimatum does not seem to have any significant impact on Iran. Due to which Trump got very angry and also made sharp remarks against Iran in very derogatory words.
The power of China and Russia behind Iran?
It has been more than a month since the war in West Asia started. America and Israel are trying with all their might to defeat and break Iran, but Iran is standing alone in the war against two powerful countries. However, it is also being said that China and Russia are indirectly supporting Iran in this war.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi also spoke on phone with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Sunday (April 5, 2026). He said that Israel and the US are targeting all our industrial structures, factories, hospitals, schools, residential areas and nuclear centers. The attacks of these two can have an impact on the stability and security of the entire region and the world.
Why is the war not ending?
This war between America and Iran now seems to be more about confirmation of ego (arrogance) than victory or defeat, where both the sides are busy in bowing down to each other and are not ready to step back. Donald Trump is continuously threatening Iran to step back, while Iran has also made it clear that any action will be given a befitting reply.
