Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is busy patting himself on the back regarding the 14-day ceasefire between America and Iran. On Wednesday, he praised the country’s role in the ceasefire and described it as historic. Sharif said, Pakistan has changed forever. Now the world looks at Pakistan with respect and pride. He also described Field Marshal Asim Munir as a ‘hero’.
US President Donald Trump had announced a two-week ceasefire on the condition of Iran reopening the Strait of Hormuz. He also mentioned Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir for getting the ceasefire done. At the same time, the Pakistan Prime Minister has invited the delegations of both the countries to negotiate a decisive agreement in Islamabad on 10 April.
According to the report of The Express Tribune, Prime Minister Shahbaz, while addressing the cabinet meeting, said, ‘This honor given by Allah to Pakistan today is the most glorious moment in the history of the country. From Tokyo to London and Kuala Lumpur, the way Pakistan is being mentioned in TV channels and institutions is unprecedented. Such a sight has never been seen before.
He said that the respect and glory that Pakistan has received today since the beginning of the war is in the interest of the entire country. He further said, ’24 crore people of Pakistan rightly deserve this honour.’ Shahbaz said that Pakistan’s stature has increased on the global stage. He said that the first phase of the ceasefire has been successfully implemented and he is confident that the next round of talks to be held on Friday (April 10) will also be successful.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan also praised Field Marshal Munir. He once again thanked CDF Munir for his contribution. Prime Minister Shahbaz said, ‘He is not only a war hero, but today he has also proved that he worked shoulder to shoulder with the political leadership for the highest and noble cause of Pakistan. I congratulate him for these efforts.
