‘Will not spare Iran’s attacker’, first statement of new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei after ceasefire

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has warned America and Israel before the meeting to be held in Pakistan regarding peace talks. He said that he will not spare anyone who attacks Iran. This is Mojtaba Khamenei’s first statement after US President Donald Trump announced the ceasefire. He said that we do not want war, but will not give up our rights.

Iran stands on the verge of becoming a big power: Mojtaba

Mojtaba Khamenei said, ‘Iran is standing on the verge of becoming a great power. Iran has been the decided winner of this war. We will not spare the criminal attackers who attacked our country. We will seek compensation for each loss and the value of the blood of our martyrs. Will go into a new phase on the management of the Strait of Hormuz. Our army has given us a great victory.

America and Iran agreed on Wednesday to a conditional ceasefire for two weeks. After this, a meeting is to be held between the two sides in Islamabad on Friday (April 10, 2026) to resolve the differences and convert the current ceasefire into a permanent peace. Hours before the proposed talks, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian said Israel’s attack on Lebanon was a flagrant violation of the initial ceasefire and would render talks futile.

Our fingers will remain on the trigger: Pezeshkian

“Such actions indicate deception and non-compliance with the rules, rendering negotiations meaningless,” Pezeshkian said. Our fingers will remain on the trigger. Iran will never leave its Lebanese brothers and sisters alone. Pejeshkian said this a day after major Israeli attacks in Lebanon, in which more than 200 people were killed and more than 1,000 were injured.

Pakistan, which is going to host high-level talks between America and Iran on Friday, has tightened security in the capital Islamabad. Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and reviewed the progress of Pakistan’s mediation efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region.
