Tamil Nadu Elections 2026: Actor-turned-politician Vijay is going to intensify his election campaign in Tiruppur on Tuesday for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. He will do public relations in eight important assembly seats in support of the candidates of his party TVK.
Where will Vijay campaign?
According to party sources, Vijay will campaign in Tiruppur North, Tiruppur South, Avinashi, Palladam, Kangayam, Dharapuram, Udumalpet and Madathukulam seats. This high-energy campaign program is part of the strategy to consolidate support before the elections.
Vijay will reach Coimbatore via flight from Chennai on Tuesday morning. From there he will go to Avinashi by road, from where the main start of his campaign will begin. At 3 pm, he will start the road show from Attayampalayam division in a specially designed campaign vehicle.
This road show will pass through important areas like the old and new bus stand of Avinashi. During this, Vijay will address the public and appeal to vote for TVK candidates. After this, his convoy will reach Perumanallur via the National Highway, where he will carry forward his campaign.
Heavy police force deployed with strict guidelines during roadshow
The final phase of the road show will go to Pooluvapatti, covering densely populated and commercial areas. Will interact with Vijay supporters, party workers and general public throughout the way.
The administration has given conditional permission for this program from 2 pm to 5 pm and strict guidelines have been issued for security. In view of the possibility of large crowd, heavy police force has been deployed in Avinashi, Perumanallur, Pooluvapatti and surrounding areas. Senior police officers are keeping an eye on the situation.
Meanwhile, in a decision, TVK has canceled Vijay’s campaign program in Dharmapuri even though permission for it had already been obtained from the Election Commission. Party workers are surprised by this decision and no official reason has been revealed yet.
