Police arrested after the video went viral
Police have identified the accused youth as Ayaan Ahmed Tanveer Ahmed, who is a resident of Paratwada, Amravati. Police had detained accused Ayaan Ahmed on Saturday (April 11, 2026) after videos of him with women and girls went viral on social media. However, in some reports, the name of the accused is being mentioned as Mohammad Ayaz alias Tanveer, who has been accused of sexual harassment, molestation and making obscene videos.
How did the accused spread the love trap?
According to Amravati Police, the accused used to lure girls into love trap. He used to take them to Mumbai and Pune and make obscene videos of them. According to NDTV report, the accused has sexually exploited about 180 minors. Police said that the accused initially befriended girls and women, then made objectionable pictures and videos of them against their will and posted them on social media, so that they could be defamed. These videos were also allegedly used to blackmail and force them into prostitution. This matter became more serious when Rajya Sabha MP Anil Bonde demanded a SIT investigation into this entire matter.
