From SPICE-1000 bombs, drones, Pinaka to MRSAM missiles… India will purchase Rs 80 thousand crores, Munir will lose sleep!

On Monday (29 December 2025), the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has approved defense deals worth Rs 79,000 crore for the three services. Under this, there will be upgrade of old weapons, purchase of new modern weapons and indigenous development. The government has taken this decision to strengthen the combat capability of the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy.

AoN was approved for procurement of Loiter Munition System, Low Level Light Weight Radar, MRSAM Missiles, Long Range Guided Rocket Ammunition for Pinaka Multiple Launch Rocket System (MRLS) and Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction System Mk-II for Artillery Regiments for the Indian Army.

For the Indian Air Force, AoN was approved for the procurement of Automatic Take-Off Landing Recording System, Astra Mk-II Missile, Full Mission Simulator and SPICE-1000 Long Range Guidance Kit, etc.
