Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday (April 24) accused the Trinamool Congress of allowing a suspended party leader to build a mosque on the lines of the Babri Masjid in West Bengal’s Ayodhya and asserted that as long as even a single party worker is alive in the state, the BJP will not allow it to be built.
Addressing election rallies one after the other, Shah said that after the Bharatiya Janata Party comes to power in West Bengal, people involved in cattle smuggling and political violence will be dealt with so strictly that even their next three generations will not think of doing the same.
He launched a scathing attack on the Mamata Banerjee government, accusing it of failure on the fronts of governance, law and order and employment and said that the upcoming assembly elections are important to free Bengal from terrorism, riots and infiltrators. Shah said in Uttarpara in Hooghly district, ‘Mamata Didi, remember that as long as even a single BJP worker is alive in Bengal, we will not allow the construction of Babri Masjid here.’

He also targeted Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee and accused her of allowing suspended party MLA Humayun Kabir to start construction of a mosque on the lines of Ayodhya’s Babri Masjid in Murshidabad district.
After being suspended from Trinamool Congress, Kabir has formed a new party, Aam Janata Unnayan Party, which is contesting on several seats in the assembly elections. He said, ‘Infiltrators are snatching away the jobs and ration of the poor. After May 5, they will be identified and sent to jail. He expressed full confidence of his party’s victory in the state.

The results of the assembly elections will be declared on May 4. He claimed that after the change of power, women will be able to move freely without any fear even at 2 o’clock in the night. Shah said that after BJP comes to power, all the closed industries in the state will be reopened, which will create new employment opportunities.
