‘The case will drag on for a long time and you are 80 years old, it would be better if…’, SC advises Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband’s mother in property dispute.

The ongoing family dispute regarding property worth crores of actress Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband and businessman Sanjay Kapoor has now reached the Supreme Court. While hearing the petition of Sanjay Kapoor’s mother Rani Kapoor, the Supreme Court has issued notice to 22 parties including Priya Kapoor Sachdev and sought their answers.

The Supreme Court said that as long as the legal dispute related to inheritance continues, the security of properties should be ensured. The court has also issued notice to Karisma Kapoor’s children along with other parties involved in this inheritance dispute.

It is being told that Rani Kapoor has demanded in her petition that any kind of interference in Sanjay Kapoor’s properties, estate and other assets should be banned. He says that as long as the entire matter is pending in the court, it is very important to keep the property safe. The petition also expressed apprehension that if the property is not preserved in time, there is a danger of it being scattered or misused.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Supreme Court has issued notice to 22 people including Priya Kapoor Sachdev and sought answers from them. However, during this period, the Supreme Court also advised both the parties to try to resolve the dispute through mutual consent and mediation.

The Supreme Court told Rani Kapoor’s lawyer that this case can go on for a long time and his client is 80 years old, so they should try towards a mutual settlement. The Supreme Court made it clear that the matter may drag on for a long time, hence it would be better if the parties resolve the dispute by mutual consent. However, the Supreme Court said that it will hear the case on merit and now the hearing will take place next week.

Rani Kapoor has also challenged the orders of Delhi High Court in her petition. He says that till now no concrete order has been issued by the High Court to keep the property and estate safe. For this reason he had to approach the Supreme Court.

This whole controversy started after the death of Sanjay Kapoor. According to reports, Sanjay Kapoor has left behind a huge property worth about Rs 30 thousand crores. Regarding this property and the will, sister Mandhira Kapoor claims that there are many irregularities in the will and the rights of some family members, especially Karisma Kapoor and her children, have been ignored in it. On the other hand, on behalf of Priya Kapoor Sachdev, it was said that she is working as per the legal process and the allegations being made against her are baseless.
