Amidst the ongoing tension between America and Iran, reports of internal differences within the Trump administration are emerging. Is Pentagon hiding the ‘ground reality’ of the war?
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Kaine have been praising the US military’s performance in the eight-week conflict, insisting that they have destroyed Iran’s air force, navy and defense infrastructure. Also, American arms stockpile is still very high, but according to a report in ‘The Atlantic’, JD Vance has repeatedly questioned these claims in meetings held behind closed doors.
Trump is being given wrong information about the war?
According to the report, Vance believes that the picture of war being presented to Trump may be far from the truth. He is especially worried about the huge reduction in the American missile stockpile. Quoting senior administration officials, the report said that Vance has expressed concern over the availability of the missile system. He believes that if it continues to be used like this in the Iran war, America will not have enough resources left in possible future conflicts with China, North Korea or Russia.

It is claimed that JD Vance was against ‘Operation Epic Fury’ from the beginning. He warned that it would cause harm. Let us tell you that Vance had led the first round of peace talks in Islamabad, Pakistan, which was unsuccessful. The second round of talks has also been canceled this week. At the same time, it is worth noting that JD Vance is praising Hegseth publicly, but according to the report, he is revealing the strategic plan in private meetings. Some officials say Hegseth says whatever President Trump wants to hear.
