Hyderabad News: A heart-wrenching murder incident has come to light in Nachram police station area of Hyderabad, which has shocked the entire city. Sujata, a 65-year-old elderly woman living in Mallapur area, was brutally murdered by a hired cab driver in her house out of greed for gold jewellery. Police have exposed this heinous incident and arrested three people including the main accused.

According to the police, the accused has been identified as Anjibabu, a resident of Andhra Pradesh. He used to work as a cab driver while staying on rent in Sujata’s house. Sujata lived alone and had a large amount of gold jewellery. Anjibabu noticed this and gradually his intentions towards her jewelery got spoiled. He conspired to commit murder to get the jewellery.

Last week, finding an opportunity, Anjibabu brutally murdered an elderly woman by strangulating her. After the murder, he removed the gold jewelery from Sujata’s body. After committing the crime, the accused took the help of his two friends so that the evidence could be destroyed.
The dead body was thrown into the river after being stuffed in a suitcase.
After the murder, the accused packed the body in a suitcase. After this he left with his friends in the car carrying the dead body. The accused was captured in CCTV cameras while carrying the suitcase. Later the body was thrown into the Godavari river. During this time the accused felt that his crime would never come to light.
When Sujata was not seen for several days, her family members became worried. He lodged a missing complaint at Nacharam police station. The police started investigating the matter and scanned the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby. During investigation Anjibabu’s behavior was found suspicious.

The police took Anjibabu into custody and interrogated him strictly. During police interrogation, he confessed to the murder and gave complete information about the disposal of the body. At the behest of the accused, the police recovered the body of an elderly woman from the Godavari river.
The police have arrested the main accused Anjibabu and his two associates. Looted gold ornaments have also been recovered from them. A case has been registered against all three under serious sections including murder and destruction of evidence and they have been sent on remand.
