The first day of the New Year has proved to be very sad for popular TV actor and host Arjun Bijlani. Arjun’s wife Neha Swami’s father Rakesh Chandra Swami has passed away today. Rakesh’s health suddenly deteriorated after which he had to be admitted to the hospital. He was admitted in ICU and now on the new year he has said goodbye to this world.
Rakesh Chandra Swamy’s family has confirmed his death. The family has also announced that his last rites will be performed today itself. The last rites of Arjun Bijlani’s father-in-law are being performed today, January 1, 2026, at 3:30 pm at Oshiwara Hindu cremation ground in Mumbai.
Arjun-Neha returned to India after leaving New Year vacation
Earlier in the report of Telechakkar, it was told that Arjun Bijlani had gone to Dubai on New Year trip with his wife Neha Swamy and son. But as soon as he got the news of his father-in-law’s health deteriorating, he left his vacation and returned to India. Rakesh Chandra Swamy was admitted to ICU after his health deteriorated. Although lost the battle of life. At present the reason for his sudden demise has not been revealed.
Neha had posted for her father
Neha Swami last shared a post for her father on Father’s Day. He had shared some pictures of his father in which his son is seen sitting in the lap of his maternal grandfather. In this post Neha had written- ‘Happy Father’s Day to my father. I have always admired the way you have loved, guided and protected our family. It has always been my wish that Arjun learn from you—your strength, your patience and the way you treat fatherhood as a blessing.’
Neha further wrote- ‘A father’s love is the foundation of a family, and your love has made me who I am today and what I want in the people I love. Thank you for being the role model every father should strive to be. Love you papa.
