US President Donald Trump has given a big statement regarding the future of Venezuela. He said that after the removal of Nicolas Maduro from power, America will exploit Venezuela’s huge oil reserves and will also sell large quantities of oil to other countries. He said that America will run the administration of Venezuela until the safe transfer of power.
Donald Trump claimed that some American soldiers were injured in the attack on Venezuela, but I believe that none of our soldiers were killed. He said that the Venezuelan army was waiting for us and was ready, but was completely defeated. Trump said, ‘We do not want someone else to come to power and we get the same situation that has existed for the last several years, so we will run the country ourselves. He did not give any deadline for the transfer of power.
Trump also claimed that America has destroyed 97 percent of drugs coming via sea. He alleged that each drug boat kills an average of 25,000 people. He said that Maduro’s arrest took place in darkness. Trump said, ‘No country in the world can achieve what America has achieved. The lights of Caracas were almost completely extinguished. There was darkness everywhere and the conditions were extremely dangerous.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Saturday expressed deep concern over US actions in Venezuela. He described the arrest of President Nicolas Maduro as a dangerous example. Guterres’ spokesman Stephane Dujarric said the secretary-general was concerned that military action could have potentially worrying consequences for the region.
“Independently of the situation in Venezuela, these developments set a dangerous precedent,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “The Secretary-General continues to emphasize the importance of fully respecting all international law, including the UN Charter,” the spokesperson said in a statement. They are deeply concerned that the rules of international law have not been respected.
