On behalf of the government, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has made the position absolutely clear in this matter. PIB has told that the government has not started any scheme named “Pradhanmantri Free Mobile Scheme”.
PIB’s fact-check team has issued a warning on social media saying that fraudsters are trying to win people’s trust by misusing the names of popular government schemes.
