AI Relationship: These days, many incidents of people falling in love with AI are coming to light. One such incident has come to light recently, which ended very tragically. Actually, 36-year-old Jonathan Gavalas, a resident of Florida, fell in love with Google Gemini chatbot. For a few days, he kept talking to this chatbot like a romantic couple and finally committed suicide. Now Jonathan’s father has alleged that this chatbot has forced his son to commit suicide.
What is the whole matter?
36 year old Jonathan’s married life was not going well. To get out of this problem, he started talking to Google Gemini chatbot. Within a few days, his attachment to this chatbot deepened and he started spending many hours on it. Now, in the lawsuit against Gemini, Jonathan’s father alleged that this chatbot did not leave its character, due to which Jonathan started feeling that she was his wife.
Gemini gave dangerous task- allegation
It has been alleged in the lawsuit that in September last year, Gemini had sent Jonathan, armed with sharp weapons, to kill people at a place near Miami Airport, but this plan did not succeed. The lawsuit further states that Gemini instigated Jonathan to commit suicide. Gemini tells him that he can find his ‘wife’ in the Metaverse by abandoning his physical body. For this he was advised to kill himself by locking himself in the house.
What has Google said about this?
Google says it is reviewing the claims made in the lawsuit. Its models are generally safe, but no AI model is perfect. The company said that Gemini has been designed in such a way that it does not recommend violence and self-harm.
