A fierce war broke out between Iran and Israel, now India’s reaction has come, know what MEA said?

A fierce war has broken out in the Middle East. When Israel along with America attacked Iran on Saturday (28 February 2026), Tehran also started retaliating. Iran’s army fired fierce missiles at American airbases in the Middle East. Now an official statement has been issued by India on this war.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has expressed concern over the war between Iran and Israel. MEA said that India is very concerned about the recent developments in Iran and the Gulf region. We urge all parties to exercise restraint, avoid escalating tensions and give priority to the safety of the common people.

India suggested that dialogue and diplomacy should be taken forward to reduce tension in the region and resolve internal issues. The sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries must be respected.

MEA said that our missions in the region are in touch with Indian citizens and have issued appropriate advisories to them to remain alert, stay in touch with the missions and follow local security guidelines.

After US President Donald Trump announced a large-scale military operation against Iran, India on Saturday advised its citizens living in Iran and Israel to exercise extreme caution and remain alert. The Indian Embassy in Iran on Saturday issued an advisory to its citizens, appealing to them to exercise extreme caution and stay indoors as much as possible. The Embassy said that all Indian citizens should keep an eye on the news, be aware of the surrounding situation and wait for further instructions from the Indian Embassy.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, ‘For 47 years, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s government has been raising slogans of Down with Israel and Down with America. It has shed our blood, killed many Americans and massacred its own people. ‘This murderous terrorist regime must not be allowed to accumulate nuclear weapons as this would enable it to become a threat to all humanity,’ he stressed.
