Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday (March 15, 2026) released the first list of its 14 candidates for the assembly elections to be held in Assam next month on April 9, 2026. The name of the party’s Assam state vice president Anurupa Dekaraja is also included in this list.
Which candidate did AAP field from which seat in Assam?
Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday (March 15, 2026) released the list of names of candidates selected for the Assam Assembly elections on social media platform X. According to the list, the party has appointed Achyut Das from Navboicha assembly seat of Assam, Pulin Gogoi from Dergaon, Jarbom Kutum from Gohpur, party state vice president Anusha Dekaraja from Central Guwahati, Ashish Hazarika from Khumtai, Tapan Gogoi from Sibsagar assembly seat.
Apart from this, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has selected Tikendra Thapa from Ronganadi assembly seat of the state, Zahidu Islam Khan from Chenga, Ranjit Boro from Naduar, Pallav Saikia from Titabar, Jinnah Amir Hussain from East Goalpara, Barun Bikas Das from Raha, Renuka Timungpi from Bokajan and Anant Gogoi from Vishwanath assembly seat as candidates.

What did the party say about Assam assembly elections?
Regarding the assembly elections to be held in Assam, AAP said that it is entering the electoral fray as a strong alternative in the state and will campaign the party on issues of public interest with clean politics.
The party has announced the names of its 14 candidates in the first list. In the coming days, AAP will also announce the names of candidates for other seats in the state.
Election Commission announces election date in Assam
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the dates for the assembly elections to be held in Assam today on Sunday (March 15, 2026). The Commission has said that voting for the State Assembly will be held next month on April 9, 2026 and the results along with counting of votes will be announced on May 4, 2026.
