Aamir Khan’s film ‘Fanaa’ was very much liked by the fans. The film was a superhit. Aamir Khan and Kajol were in lead roles in this film. The film was directed by Kunal Kohli. Now Kunal has talked about the film.
Speaking to Indian Express, he said, ‘It is sad that heroes and producers are shying away from talking about subjects which are bold and different. The hero in ‘Fanaa’ is not a hero, he is a villain. This is the love story of a terrorist. He was shot and killed by the same woman he loved. That woman also loved him.
Aditya was not sure about Aamir
The director told that he wanted to approach Aamir Khan for the film. However, producer Aditya Chopra was not sure about this. The director said, ‘When I wanted to approach Aamir Khan, producer Aditya Chopra was not sure about it. He said, hey man, that will pass the time. Will make you sit on his lap for 6 months, but will not do it again. A lot of time will be wasted. If you want to waste time then do it. Well, one of your pictures has become a hit, do you want Aamir Khan? I had said that I wanted him in the first film also. When I got Hrithik Roshan in the first film, why shouldn’t I go to Aamir Khan now?
Aamir Khan had asked questions
He further said, ‘Aamir had heard the story within a week. He asked me to write the script in Urdu instead of English. I finished the draft within a week. But went to Aamir after 2 weeks. I didn’t want them to think that I wrote the dialogues in a week. He asked me a lot of questions whether I was fit to direct a film or not because I had not directed anything like this before. He asked Aditya why are you not directing it? So Aditya said because I don’t think anyone can do it better than Kunal.
