Afghanistan bid goodbye to T20 World Cup with a big win, Zadran’s century, Nabi also shined, defeated Canada by 82 runs

Afghanistan vs Canada T20 Highlights: Afghanistan has defeated Canada by 82 runs. Since they were already out of the T20 World Cup, the Afghan team bid farewell to the tournament with a big win over Canada. In this match played at Chepauk ground in Chennai, the Afghanistan team had scored 200 runs while batting first, in response the Canadian team could score only 118 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

When the Afghan team came to bat first, Ibrahim Zadran created a lot of havoc with the bat. He played an inning of 95 runs in 56 balls. During this he hit 7 fours and 5 sixes. Sediqullah Atal also contributed 44 runs to help Afghanistan reach 200 runs.

The Canadian team, which came to chase the target of 201 runs, started well, but after that the bowlers of the Afghan team started dominating. Especially Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan wreaked havoc on the Canadian batsmen.

The spin trio of Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman did not give the Canadian batsmen any chance to remain in the match. Together, all three bowled 12 overs, gave only 50 runs and dismissed 7 batsmen. Yuvraj Samra, who scored a century against New Zealand, also could not change Canada’s fortunes against Afghanistan. Yuvraj scored only 17 runs in this match.

Mohammad Nabi was the most effective bowler, giving only 7 runs in 4 overs and taking 4 wickets. Whereas Rashid Khan took 2 wickets for 19 runs in his spell. Whereas Rahman gave 23 runs in 4 overs and took one wicket. Afghanistan finished third in Group D with 4 points. Whereas Canada was the team which could not win even a single match in this World Cup.
