Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly has said that former Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan should be taken care of and he should also be given adequate respect.

Recently, 14 former captains of international cricket teams had written a letter to the Pakistan government requesting that Imran Khan be treated well in jail and health services should also be provided to him. After that Sourav Ganguly’s statement has come out.

According to news agency PTI, Sourav Ganguly responded to the letter written by 14 former captains and said, “He has done the right thing. I hope that he will be provided with adequate medical services and his health will improve. He has given Pakistan a special place in the world, first as the captain of the Pakistan cricket team and then as the Prime Minister of the country. Therefore, he should be taken care of, I hope so.”

The petition was filed by former Australian cricket team captain Greg Chappell, on which there are signatures of great cricketers like Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Nasir Hussain and Clive Lloyd. Indian fans have strongly opposed this petition and now Sourav Ganguly has also come under the target of critics by coming in support of Imran.

Sunil Gavaskar has expressed his displeasure

Former Indian cricket team captain Sunil Gavaskar has also expressed his displeasure over the condition of Imran Khan. He said, “Whatever is being done to him is terrible. We have been friends since the days when he wanted to qualify for the Worcestershire team as an overseas player.

Imran Khan’s supporters say that he is not being allowed to meet his family. He also said that 85 percent of the vision in Imran’s right eye has gone.
