After Venezuela-Iran, now Trump has his eyes on this country, said- ‘To achieve this…’

Donald Trump on Cuba: US President Donald Trump said in a press briefing on Monday that he is thinking of taking Cuba in some form. He said that if he wants, he can do anything with Cuba because it is a very weak country now. This statement has come at a time when electricity has been completely shut down in Cuba.

Cuba, a country with a population of 96 million, experienced a total power outage on Monday. The electricity grid there has completely collapsed and people are facing a situation like dark night. This is happening because the supply of oil has stopped and generators are also closed due to non-availability of fuel.

Oil and cause of blackout

Cuba has not received a large shipment of oil for months. The main reason for this is that America has imposed a ban on oil supply. The oil that Cuba used to get from Venezuela has stopped and now the country is not able to get fuel. Due to this the power supply has been badly affected.

Trump’s threat – to take or to liberate?

Trump told reporters, “I think I would have the honor of taking Cuba. I can liberate it or … I can do whatever I want.” He also said that Cuba is still weak and America wants to take advantage of this situation. The Trump administration is already putting economic pressure on Cuba so that there can be pressure on the government there for political change. He has said that if Cuba wants to make a deal, it can be done quickly, especially if America first settles the issue of war with Iran.

Cuban reaction and situation

Cuban President Miguel Diaz Canale has said that the country has not received any major fuel shipments in the last three months. Due to power crisis, people’s problems are increasing and daily services are badly affected at many places.
