All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Tauqeer Nizami has given a big controversial statement regarding Muslims on Monday (February 9, 2026). Describing Muslims as three types, he said that the first Muslims are shoe-lickers, who are found in the Congress Party. The second type of Muslims are those who eat shoes and are found in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the third type of Muslims are those who throw shoes and they are found in Majlis (AIMIM).
AIMIM leader Tauqeer Nizami has given this statement while addressing a public meeting in Madhya Pradesh. Regarding his controversial statement, he said that this is my personal statement. I said this as a symbol for those so-called secular parties and their leaders, who call themselves well-wishers of Muslims, but have nothing to do with the welfare of Muslims.

The AIMIM leader said, ‘Whatever I have said about shoe licking and shoe eating, I have said it as a symbol. I said this for those so-called secular parties and their leaders, who call themselves well-wishers of Muslims, but they have nothing to do with the welfare of Muslims, because the Muslim leaders in other parties cannot do anything for their people.
He said, ‘When any Muslim is tortured anywhere in the country, Akhlaq is murdered, a Muslim woman is raped or a Muslim brother is tortured, then all these Muslim leaders of the so-called secular parties sit quietly, keeping their mouths shut and only raise the flag of those parties.’
AIMIM leader spoke about Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav
During this, AIMIM leader Tauqeer Nizami also attacked the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi along with Samajwadi Party (SP) chief and Lok Sabha MP Akhilesh Yadav. He said that I want to say that neither Rahul Gandhi nor Akhilesh Yadav can be the leader of Muslims.
