The Indian Army on Thursday foiled infiltration attempts on the LoC i.e. Line of Control in Sunderbani area of ββRajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. This information has been given by the Indian Army itself. The army also conducted a search operation in the area. In this they have recovered many weapons.
What information was given by the army?
According to the Army, on Thursday morning (19 February 2026), troops of the Cross Sword Division under the White Knight Corps of the Army conducted an operation in Nathua Tibba Sunderbani area, which is near the LOC. Searching is being done on a large scale in the area. During this time, blood stained marks were also seen at many places. Many weapons have also been recovered. Among these, AK-47 rifle, 2 magazines, ammunition, 03 bags, blanket, ration and clothes have been recovered. At present, operation is going on in the area. Caution is being exercised.
Earlier, Army spokesperson in Jammu had said that on the basis of intelligence inputs and continuous surveillance, suspicious movement of terrorists was detected in the general area of ββNathua Tibba Sunderbani of LoC on the morning of 19 February. During this, after the alert of White Knight Corps, the soldiers fired swiftly. Due to this the infiltration attempt failed. The Army said that through integrated ground and aerial surveillance, the troops were properly repositioned and reoriented to ensure complete capture of the area. The entire sector has been put on high level alert.
Army also took action in Poonch, trans-border smuggler arrested
Earlier, the Army has arrested a local man in Poonch district. Weapons have been recovered from him. On this, the Army had said that a man named Sachin alias Pamman, resident of Nowshera, was arrested in a joint operation of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CIF Romiya under the supervision of White Knight Corps. This operation was completed without any interruption.
The Army said that the Army recovered one TISAS Zigana 9mm pistol, one TT-30 pistol, two extended 50-round Zigana magazines, two pistol magazines and 15 9mm live rounds. The Army has admitted that preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested persons were in direct contact with Pakistan-based terrorists and smugglers. He was running a trans-border, inter-state arms racket.
