‘America used us like toilet paper and threw us away’, Pakistan’s Defense Minister cried in Parliament

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif fiercely targeted America by mentioning Taliban in the National Assembly. He said that Pakistan did not participate in both the wars fought on the soil of Afghanistan to protect Islam. He admitted that in the war with Afghanistan, its people were killed in the name of Jihad and yet Pakistan did not learn a lesson from it.

He said that Pakistan also made changes in its educational curriculum to support these wars, which have not been corrected till date. Khawaja Asif said that after 1999, Pakistan again joined the war to get America’s support, for which we paid a heavy price. Criticizing former army chiefs General Zia-ul-Haq and General Pervez Musharraf for these decisions, he said that Pakistan was used like tissue paper, worse than toilet paper, and then thrown away.

Khawaja Asif argued that this wrong decision established Pakistan as a pawn in others’ wars.
