Trump’s trust in a country infamous for terrorism in the world is beyond comprehension
While on one hand Pakistan is infamous for terrorism all over the world, on the other hand Trump is trusting the same Pakistan and is calling it important for ceasefire. In such a situation, according to retired military officer of Pakistani Army, Major Adil Raja, this incident should be understood from three main points.
Firstly, when the whole world had broken trade relations with Iran under the pressure of America, even then smuggling of Tej was going on openly in Pakistan with the permission of the army. Iran’s petrol and other goods were and are still sold in the markets of Baluchistan, Pakistan. Also, the government of Pakistan used to run a bitter system with Iran. In such a situation, relations between Iran and Pakistan have always been good.
Now let us come to why Trump has so much confidence in Pakistan? There is money and the Munir-Shahbaz regime called Trump’s son Eric Trump and Trump’s close aide Steve Witkoff to Pakistan and made a crypto deal and also made a deal with Steve Witkoff for the Roosevelt Hotel located in Washington, Pakistan. In such a situation, to please Trump, Munir-Shahbaz have been doing whatever Trump wants for a long time. This is why Trump has so much faith in the current government of Pakistan even after terrorism.
Also, in the American system, the Pentagon runs in a different direction, the President’s office runs in a different direction and the Congress runs in a different direction, this is the reason that at that time Pakistan was working as a postman for America. At the same time, the US Congress in its report was accusing Pakistan of supporting global terrorist organizations and supporting terrorist organizations against India.
Third, such a system suits America also to create post man. Where there is no accountability towards the public, if India had done mediation then the government would have had to tell the public to the Lok Sabha, but the head of Pakistan like Asim Munir neither knows nor has to tell anything to the Pakistani Parliament. He just has to do what Trump is telling him, because America has been deciding for 78 years who will become the army chief in Pakistan and who will remain.
In the year 2022, when Shahbaz Sharif became the Prime Minister by stealing Janata’s votes and rigging the elections, it was built by the Pakistani Army and in the 78 years of history of Pakistan, the Army runs Pakistan and decides who will become the Prime Minister. For this reason, the Army Chief is always the defacto leader and right now Asim Munir is the supreme leader of the country. This is why Trump prefers to talk directly to Munir, because the real power is with Munir instead of Shahbaz and America itself had made him the army chief.
