Apple launched its thinnest iPhone ever, iPhone Air, in September last year. Due to the slick design, pro level hardware and premium look, the company hoped that people would like it, but it did not happen. The sales of this iPhone remained weak due to the single rear camera provided in the phone and low battery life. Now according to the latest reports, Apple is working on both these fronts and customers will get to see iPhone Air 2 with amazing upgrades this year.
Apple will do this work to increase battery capabilities
iPhone Air received a lot of accolades due to its design and looks, but due to battery and camera, people kept holding back from buying it. Now Apple is ready to upgrade the battery capacity and camera setup in its next generation variant. According to media reports, CoE (Color on Encapsulation) display technology can be provided in iPhone Air 2. Apart from being thinner than the existing panel, this display will also be power efficient and will appear bright even in outdoor conditions. The advantage of the thin display will be that Apple will get space to put a bigger battery in it without increasing the size of the iPhone.
The camera will also be upgraded
There are speculations that dual camera setup can be given in the rear of iPhone Air 2. The Air has a single 48MP rear camera, which can be upgraded to add an ultra-wide lens along with a 48MP primary camera in the Air 2.
Price and launch?
Despite these major upgrades, the price of iPhone Air 2 is expected to be lower than Air. It is being said that Apple does not want to leave any stone unturned to make iPhone Air 2 attractive. Therefore, even after a powerful upgrade, it will be brought at an affordable price. Talking about the launch, the upcoming model can be launched in September this year, when the company will launch its first foldable iPhone and iPhone 18 Pro models.
